As a Higher Supporter, you will help Georgia students go higher in their education and career without the burden of basic needs insecurity. With unmet basic needs, it is impossible for Georgia students to go higher, but thankfully for them, they have our support. We are a 501(c)(3) public grantmaking foundation with EIN 82-1851349, and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Together, let’s keep going higher.

Credit/Debit

Give Higher with Workplace Giving

Does your employer promote workplace giving? Double your donation through matching, volunteering, and payroll giving.

Matching

Corporate matching gifts are a type of philanthropy in which companies financially match donations that their employees make to nonprofit organizations. When an employee makes a donation, they’ll request a matching gift from their employer. The employer then makes their own donation to the nonprofit. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Source

Volunteering

Do you know if your employer has company-sponsored volunteer programs? They may offer volunteer PTO hours and volunteer grants, but it’s up to individual volunteers to complete the volunteer grant request process and secure funds for our cause. Through these initiatives, companies provide monetary grants to organizations where employees regularly volunteer. This is typically achieved by offering a set dollar amount that’s dependent on the number of hours a team member spends volunteering, or offering a lump sum donation after an employee reaches a minimum threshold. Payroll

Payroll giving, also known as automatic payroll deductions, allows employees to contribute to nonprofits right from their paychecks. Since these deductions come out of employees’ paychecks automatically, it’s an easy set-it-and-forget-it way to give back. In most cases, these contributions are a percentage of the employee’s pay, but corporations that use CSR software with employee self-service tools may allow team members to adjust their contributions as they please. Enroll your primary spending card with a Visa or Mastercard logo. Optionally, set a maximum donation per month.

Step 2: Make a Purchase

Every purchase you make will be rounded up to the next dollar at the end of each month. That total amount will be sent to us.

Step 3: Support Our Cause

You’ll get a tax deduction receipt and have an opportunity to invite others to support the cause.

Invest into The Higher Foundation Fund

The Higher Foundation Fund promotes sustainable funding for our organization through a cash reserves account and an endowment fund. We encourage Higher Supporters to give $5,000.00 or more as investments. Your investments will help us maintain our operation costs and perpetually fund our financial assistance programs.
