We Need Your Help to Go Higher

Our goal is to help as many Georgia college students as possible attain a higher education and higher possibilities. We can’t reach our goal alone, so we are asking our Higher Community to help us along the way. Whether you want to serve virtually or in-person, regularly or on occasion, individually or with a group, we have a volunteer opportunity just for you. Become a Higher Mentor

We pair our grant and scholarship recipients with a Higher Mentor who has successfully gone higher in their college and career field. If you want to be a role model to our students, we welcome you to join our Higher Mentor network. Once you are paired with a student, you and the student will work together independently with semesterly Higher Foundation check-ins.

Become a Higher Creative

We are looking for creatives to join our team as a Higher Creative. If you love our mission and marketing and can volunteer with us for a maximum of 5 hours weekly, please apply for one of our four Higher Creative positions.

Our photography needs are taking event photos, editing photos, and providing other photography services per request. Freelance photographers and those who have a hobby in photography are encouraged to apply. Some photography opportunities will require travel in the Atlanta metropolitan area. We will provide a gas stipend of $20 up to one time per week when requested. Applicants must have related experience, a professional resume, and a professional headshot.

Our videography needs are recording videos, editing videos, and providing other videography services per request. Freelance videographers and those who have a hobby in videography are encouraged to apply. Some videography opportunities will require travel in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Our social media needs are creating, editing, and scheduling social media content and engaging with our social media followers on our existing social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Those who have experience in social media management are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have related experience, a professional resume, and a professional headshot.

Our graphic design needs are creating graphics on Canva and creating our digital newsletter using MailChimp. Marketing professionals and those who have a passion for marketing are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have related experience, a professional resume, and a professional headshot.

Become a Higher Coordinator

We are looking for helping hands to review our grant and scholarship applications. This is a great learning opportunity for college students or recent college graduates who have a passion for Public Administration, Higher Education, or Nonprofit Management. If you are interested and can serve up to 5 hours weekly, please apply for one of our two Higher Coordinator positions.

In this role, volunteers will review our grant application submissions on a rolling basis. We have a defined rubric on how grant applications are reviewed and processed, and each application takes about 5 minutes to review. The volunteer must be attentive to detail to ensure each application is reviewed correctly. We expect the volunteer to review as many grant applications as he or she can up to 5 hours weekly.
